St Senan's GAA are delighted to have signed up for the GAA ‘Ireland Lights Up’ walking challenge in partnership with RTE’s Operation Transformation and Get Ireland Walking. The aim is to make exercise more accessible on the dark winter nights and to offer local communities an opportunity to get together and socialise in a healthy way.

The first date for our club to host ‘Ireland Lights Up’ 2024 is Wednesday 10th January and we will meet every Wednesday night in Shanagolden Community Field from 7:30 - 8:30pm up to (and including) February 14th.

By registering for 'Ireland Lights Up', you are automatically registered for the Irish Life 'Steps Challenge' which is run through their MyLife health app and our club will be in with a chance to share in the prize fund of €30,000. The goal of this challenge is to collectively hit 4,000KM for our club and be entered into the provincial draw!

Participant numbers for St Senan's GAA Club will be given to RTÉ's Operation Transformation team each week and the accumulative numbers will be aired live on the show the following Wednesday.

We'd love to get as many people on board as every step really does count!
