Rounders was introduced to the parish of St. Senan's in the early 1980's through Community Games. It's has been a very popular sport with many teams since then, reaching all Ireland glory.
In the early 90's adult Rounders was introduced and again many Men's, ladies and mixed teams reached and won All Ireland finals.
There was much talk in the last few years about reviving Adult Rounders in the parish and in 2022 that talk became a reality when more than 30 adults registered to join the St. Senans GAA Rounders team. Some vintage, some new players but all had to be over 18 years.
2022 proved itself to be a very successful debut year for our adults junior team who travelled the length and breath of the country for competition under the management of Dympna Lawlor.
We won the Munster Championship and made it to the All Ireland finals.
